Join the Manitowoc Civil War Roundtable as they share information on the Gaddis Watercolor Collection as well as their organization. Listen to stories of the 12th Wisconsin Regiment during the Civil War, hearing about the places that Cpl. John Gaddis painted while serving in the Civil War. Their singing group will share live period music as well. This is a FREE event.

The March, 2018 Speaker Series will focus on Historic Preservation and Landmarking. Our presenters will discuss the importance of preservation for a community, how preservation is funded and what it takes to accomplish the renovation of a historically significant structure. Representatives from the State Historical Society's Preservation Department, Gorman & Co. National History Day Exhibit

We have on exhibit over two dozen projects from area middle and high school students for the National History Day program. You will see the tremendous work and research ability of several of our area students by experiencing their projects firsthand. From display boards to papers and web pages, the skill level displayed should make us all proud of these students who show an interest in and see the value of history.
