DESCRIPTION:Due to inclement weather\, the Museum hasPOSTPONED the August 18 LANTERN MAKING & PARADEto our rain date – August 25\, 2025. \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				From 1935–2011\, the Lantern Parade marked the end of the recreation department’s summer playground program each August. In some years they had thousands of participants who made themed lanterns\, walked in the parade\, spectated\, performed skits\, and showcased a flashlight dance. \nSheboygan County Museum invites children and families to learn about this community tradition in a hands-on/feet-on way. Participants can enjoy Food Truck Mondays at Vollrath Park and stop by our tables to make a lantern. DESCRIPTION:From 1935–2011\, the Lantern Parade marked the end of the recreation department’s summer playground program each August. In some years they had thousands of participants who made themed lanterns\, walked in the parade\, spectated\, performed skits\, and showcased a flashlight dance. \nSheboygan County Museum invites children and families to learn about this community tradition in a hands-on/feet-on way. Participants can enjoy Food Truck Mondays at Vollrath Park and stop by our tables to make a lantern. This critical role is not just as a natural resource\, but as a shared substance that shapes the artistic\, economic\, and cultural experience of community\, people\, and time. Water/ Ways\, explores the relationship between people and water through this multi-faceted lens.
