With the recent State Supreme Court decision ending the “Safer at Home” order, the museum will continue to be closed to the public until further notice.
We were in very early stages of planning our reopening and will continue to follow our plan. Our biggest concern is with the health and well-being of our staff and visitors. We have assessed our specific needs to open properly and are in the steps of acquiring the items we feel are needed to offer the safest space possible. We will as well continue to monitor reopening guidelines from the CDC, the Sheboygan County Health Department and the WEDC.
The staff at SCHSM want to be open and sharing the museum with visitors and volunteers, but we also want to make sure people feel safe while at the museum. We will announce our reopening when we feel we are ready, please keep your eyes open for that announcement.
In the meantime, please consider a donation to the Society. It would be greatly appreciated and helpful in continuing to achieve our mission. You can donate here by visiting our About Us menu item.
Thank you for your continued interest and support of your Sheboygan County Historical Society.
