Milestones: From Moments & Memories

February 23 – October 24, 2026

In the summer of 1776, representatives to the Second Continental Congress adopted the final draft of the Declaration of Independence, officially declaring Thirteen Colonies in America free and independent of Great Britain. In 2026, that moment and memory has become a MILESTONE – the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.

The Museum’s featured exhibition, MILESTONES – From Moments & Memories, is inspired by this momentous occasion. Explore the past through the tangible objects that endure to reveal stories, reflecting the tapestry of carried traditions, witnessed events, and a past that influences the present and the future.

Holiday Memories 2026

November 27 – December 30, 2026 (closed December 24/25)

Celebrate the Season at Sheboygan County Museum. Holiday Memories Museum is a destination to create new memories, while sharing an experience from years past. A magical exhibition rooted in the animated holiday displays of Sheboygan’s H.C. Prange Company store, the 2026 display features the beloved Elves of SantaLand working hard to process orders, ship out goods, and keep the North Pole on track as the holiday approaches.

Chat with the charismatic Bruce the Spruce, pedal vintage Garton Toys in the ride-on corral, enjoy the festively decorated Community Trees, marvel at the sparkling lights in the David Taylor House, and relax in the quiet simplicity of the Weinhold Log Cabin. The many scheduled events can add even more merry to your holiday season.
