In Celebration of Summer

June 9 – October 25, 2025

With its ample sunshine, long days, and warm temperatures, summer has always been the season of celebrations. The Sheboygan County Museum invites all to revel in this favorite time of year with the temporary exhibition In Celebration of Summer, on display from June 9 through October 25, 2025.

Sheboygan County’s summer vibe is bursting with upbeat parades, lively gatherings, exciting trips, outdoor entertainment, and relaxing moments. These pastimes, most developed over the last two centuries, are fundamentally linked together and represent the joy inherent in the summer season.

Through the themes of Marching Down Main, Sun’s Out – School’s Out, R & R, Competitions to Cream Puffs, and Festivals & Fry Outs, In Celebration of Summer provides visitors a  journey through generations of community traditions and a growing leisure economy with objects from the Museum’s collection alongside a variety of photographs.

Embrace that summer state of mind with In Celebration of Summer and discover the past and present of the season we wish would last just a bit longer.
