Two people standing in medical display at a Museum

Behind the Scenes Work Day

February 17, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

IMLS Inspire! Grant

Two people standing in medical office display at a museum.

Museum staff members Tamara Lange and Rebecca Schnabel return objects to the medical office display after documenting as part of the IMLS project.

Stop by anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on February 17th as we host another “Behind the Scenes” Work Day – this time focused on the IMLS Inspire! Grant. Learn more from Museum staff about how the grant is supporting the first ever inventory of the artifact collection, a diverse assembly of thousands of objects donated over the last century. Find out more about the preparations undertaken in advance of the project, how the work plan developed, and some of the triumphs and trials staff have encountered since beginning in October.

This is a great chance to get up close with the artifacts and learn more about a major part of our efforts to collect, preserve, and educate about Sheboygan County history that typically happens behind the scenes.

Behind the Scenes Work Days are included with regular museum admission.
Adults – $9
Seniors 62 & up – $7
Ages 6 – 17 – $5
Ages 0 – 5 – Free
SCHSM Members – FREE

This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS Grant IGSM-249370-OMS-21).
