Join us as we celebrate the efforts of local student participants in National History Day! In 2019, student projects
from exhibits to websites will explore the theme Triumph & Tragedy in History. Numerous Eighth through Twelfth
graders from several Sheboygan County schools participate in this great learning experience. Not only do students become writers, web designers, curators and more, they develop valuable skills in critical thinking, research, and problemsolving.
In addition to featuring current student projects, we are pleased to also highlight the two 2018 National History Day projects that advanced to the National level competition last June – Bailey Joyce and her paper, The Compromise of 1790: Preserving the Unity of the United States and Cecelia Zielke, Ashley Thyes and Ben Guesneau’s group exhibit, The Mau Mau Uprising: A Compromise to End the Conflict of
British-Kenyan Colonialism.
