Rescheduled after the Pioneer Olympics were cancelled on August 7.
That’s right, this popular Sheboygan tradition is making a small comeback!
Join the Sheboygan County Historical Museum for a Children’s Mini Lantern Parade through Taylor Park! Free Paper Bag Lantern Kits are still available for pick up at the Museum, Mead Public Library, John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and Above and Beyond Children’s Museum.
Children can bring their completed paper bag lanterns with them to check-in and line-up on the greenspace in front of Sunny Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at 7:00pm. Battery operated candles will be distributed at time of check-in. The Lantern Parade will start at approximately 7:37pm (dusk) and go through Taylor Park. Parents are welcome and encouraged to walk with young children in the parade. Children are asked to wear patriotic clothing in honor of 9/11.
This will be an additional event to our Annual History Hill Music Festival on September 11. To learn more, visit the event page for the Music Festival https://sheboyganmuseum.org/event/history-hill-music-festival-2/
