Prange’s Then & Now: An Event about the Human Connection of Local Business

July 29 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Sheboygan County Museum (SCM) hosts a primarily outdoor event at SCM’s Weinhold Log Cabin celebrating how local consumer spaces fill needs with their goods and with human connection.

Highlighting the popular Prange’s Department Store “then” (1887–1992) and the power of small businesses downtown Sheboygan “now,” SCM invites community members to share their stories on consuming local (then and/or now), meet current business owners, and enjoy Prange’s artifacts and Prange’s recipe baked goods.

The UW–Madison Badger Talk speaker, Alfonso Morales PhD, also connects how marketplaces “then & now” have driven culture and society.
