The Sheboygan County Historical Museum is excited to be participating once again in the Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day!
Museum Day brings together museums, zoos and cultural centers from all 50 states to offer free admission to all Museum Day ticket holders. Museum Day represents a national commitment to access, equality and inclusion. Museum Day goes beyond getting visitors through museum doors — it acts as a springboard to empower and help advance the hopes and ambitions of the public, particularly school-aged children and those in underrepresented communities. Join us as we celebrate the American Experience – the theme of this year’s event.
The Say It, We Made It: A Century of Buy Local temporary exhibit, and the We Will Always Be Here: Wisconsin’s LGBTQ+ Historymakers traveling exhibit from the Wisconsin Historical Society will be included with the free admission.
As an added bonus, visitors will have a chance to see the S.W. Miller Player Piano in action with Jane Abromaitis. For decades before the piano arrived at the Museum, the Abromaitis family carefully cared for and played the piano. There is no better expert!!
